Information We Collect Automatically

We do not run our own tracking pixels or log personal data on a server. The site stores functional data in localStorage to remember dark mode, your preferred test configuration, and (if you choose) in-progress quiz answers. Vercel Web Analytics records high-level usage information such as page views, approximate geography derived from IP, device type, and referrers. These metrics are aggregated and used solely to improve the site experience.

Information You Provide

The only personal information we request is whatever you enter into the contact form. When you submit a message we send the contents directly to our support inbox at abdowork0192@gmail.com. We use that information to respond and do not maintain a separate marketing list. Please avoid sharing sensitive data in your message.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

Brain Gauge uses a small number of client-side storage items:

  • bg_dark and braingauge-darkmode keep the dark-mode preference you selected.
  • braingauge-test-config-v1 and braingauge-session-v1 store quiz settings and progress if you resume a test later.

You can clear these items anytime through your browser settings. Google AdSense and its consent experience may set their own cookies or identifiers as described in Google’s policies. Declining or clearing storage may reset preferences but will not block access to the quiz.

Advertising and Analytics Partners

Google AdSense provides contextual ads and manages regulatory messaging through its own CMP. Google may use cookies and device identifiers to deliver and measure personalised or non-personalised ads in line with your region’s requirements. Vercel Web Analytics runs in cookieless mode and provides aggregated metrics. No advertising identifiers are collected by Vercel on our behalf.

Your Choices

Ad consent is managed through Google’s Privacy & Messaging CMP. When Google presents the consent banner, use the controls in that experience to review or update your choices. You can also manage cookies or tracking any time using your browser or device settings.

Data Retention

Local storage entries stay in your browser until you delete them or until the site clears them automatically. Emails sent through the contact form are retained for support purposes and deleted when no longer needed.
